ECP (Extended Capabilities Port) - Definition
ECP is an abbreviation for Extended Capabilities Port. It is a parallel connector design that provides improved bidirectional data transmission to and from a printer. It is similar to Enhanced Parallel Port (EPP) but instead ECP uses direct memory access to transfer data and often improves performance.
