Floppy - Definition
A Floppy refers to an earlier type of removable disk. By today’s standards, Floppies actually stored very little data, usually 720 kilobytes (KB) up to 1.44 megabytes (MB) but most computers are capable of reading them. However, there are different formats used for floppies, so that a floppy disk written by one type of computer might not directly work on another. Also called a “diskette”.
