Hardware - Definition
Hardware is a general term used to describe the equipment that makes up and is connected to your computer. A typical personal computer consists of a case or chassis in a tower shape (desktop) and some of the following parts: motherboard, processing unit, memory, power supply, keyboard, mouse etc. In short, software is what you see on the screen and hardware is everything you can touch.
