Keyboard Buffer - Definition
A Keyboard Buffer is an area of temporary memory within the keyboard that stores a number of key strokes. In this way, even if the computer does not initially respond to the key strokes being typed, the letters will display when its CPU becomes available without having to re-type the key strokes.
