Resource - Definition
A Resource is generally any item that can be used by the end user. Devices such as printers, fax machines, scanners, and disk drives are resources, as is memory. In many operating systems, including Microsoft Windows and the Macintosh operating system, the term resource specifically refers to data or routines that are available to programs. These are also called system resources.
